I recall Tony Blackburn saying he hated this track and declaring that "you really shouldn't destroy a song like that..."
I never listened to Blackburn myself. I was always a John Peel man.

Personal on the video are, with microphone and playback singer Frank Tovey from Fad Gadget R.I.P (seem to be here as a guest) and of course Mr Daniel Miller behind the legendary Arp 2600 synthesizer.
Of course the band were produced by Mute Records 2 years before Depeche Mode. In 1978 Mute were a very small indie label with only The Normal (Daniel Miller solo project), Boyd Rice (Mr US Noise) and Fad Gadget.
