If Foamy's not racist towards Mexicans despite how many of them are illegally coming through U.S. borders (which is vastly more problematic), he sure as hell isn't racist against the simple frustration of inept/unintelligible Indian techies.
MrTwiky (June 26, 2008 at 4:10 pm)
well unless i hear that he had this problem i'm going to stick with this theory
Taima (June 26, 2008 at 2:52 pm)
MrTwiky, I don't know if you're aware of this but many of the tech support people for computer/internet companies these days (Verizon, Hewlett Packard, etc) are from India. A lot of the time, one can't understand the other, or one doesn't make sense to the other.
If those companies' tech support guys were say Chinese or something, there would be a chinese guy instead of an Indian.
Okay? it's a stereotype. Stereotypes are big in the US. Chill.

No, this Foamy "bitch" is just making a social commentary. American jobs of all shapes and sizes are being outsourced all over the world, most notably in India & southeast Asia. Obviously Foamy's own Lord & Master Jonathan Ian Mathers had himself a frustrating round with an Indian tech support guy who wasn't any help to him at all (or at worst didn't speak English very well), and decided to make a cartoon based on his experiences. Nothing wrong with THAT, is there? |
