This project was created to inspire teachers to use technology in engaging ways to help students develop higher level thinking skills. Equally important, it serves to motivate district level leaders to provide teachers with the tools and training to do so.

I dont know why I got a thumbs down, if you didnt understand what I was saying then I see why you did. If there are 1 billion people in one place(CHINA) having 300million above average IQ's but having 700million poverty uneducated homeless people. Where america has 300million people with 200million highly intelligent people. Those numbers arent exact but you get my idea. So which one is beter? Please reply. Since I got a thumgs down...

If only school wasn't for 5+ hours, and sitting in your uncomfterble chair for 1 hour for 5+ classes reading, and if the book wasn't for stupid information I don't want to know nor will I use in 99% of my life. Technology is America's goal, actually it's the whole worlds.. Africa.. you don't see kids studying, you see them struggling.. If they wan tto learn english from a tutor, that would take forever yet it's boring. I'd rather have Computers then a strict tutor. I'd rather LearnEnglishfaster!

You can learn a lot from watching TV, depending on what it is of course, and you can learn from gaming. It is a proven fact that children who play video games cant count things faster, think faster and have better focusing skills. Sure you can learn by reading but there are many ways to learn. Experience is the best way.

Quite engaging but where is student's contributing in this process?

I'm willing to bet there's only going to be more English speakers because there's more of them. And because China is culturally inclined to compete, which today means conducting business internationally. And because that statistic does not take into account bilingual immigrants to the U.S.
