yeah I agree with you:) I agree with this compromise between size/weight and the usability:)

Thanks for the correction. I hadn't looked into it that carefully, but now that I have, you're absolutely right. 8.9" is just as good, if you ask me :)

not 10" but 8,9"...10" version was cancelled a lot of time ago! for this while.

as soon as you get the eeepc, you will have to download a different linux distribution and upload that onto the machine. this person uses xubuntu. other common linux distros include: ubuntu, pclinux, opensuse and fedora. please seek more info online when u get it.

wow! I've always been a windows user all my life, and only recently I've realised what I'm missing out on. As my parents are getting me an Asus EEE Pc (8g) for my 18th I can't wait to try out all this different open source software! God, if I manage to run this on my eee pc my mates are going to be soooo jealous, can't wait! Goddamit why can't my b'day hurry up!

There's a 10" version that will (hopefully) be released sometime this year (2008). If you're going to be doing a lot of reading and don't mind passing up the bag space, that's the way to go. |
