also, AE and combustion doesnt have behaviors. thrust me, motion is much more intuitive. and it gets better all the time. you can cast shadows but you have to make them yourself so i guess, no, not atuomaticlly. but motion has so many benefits over AE, like no rendering, the effects in real time are worth every penny.

yes, you just have to know how to do it with blurs etcs.if your talking about just casting a regular shadow just by light, no, not with out doing some stuff. it doesnt do it automaticlly. you have tomake the shadow your self and it can look really good too. so i guess i misunderstod your question. but considerng the price of AE is 1000 bucks, and motion3 is just 1200 with 5 other apps. it better be able to do more but i havent seen anyting that cant bedone in motion yet.
