With money comes power. What would happen in that system is that there would be a few rich and powerful folk and a great mass of very poor people. It would be horrific. Its you who hasnt thought this through. Your analysis ignores: EXPLOITATION, CLASS, and SOCIAL RELATIONS. Profits are just the unpaid labor of the workers.

Dude, im gonna stop being sarcastic and ask you in all honesty: can you really imagine no alternative between capitalism on the one hand and state socialism on the other? Can you imagine a non-hierarchical, non-authoritarian system? I point to Spain in 1936.

There are many briliant minds of all sorts of political mind-sets, no doubt. Marx was a genius, and had good intentions. Unfourtunatly it can't work out the way he had wanted. Think about Minarchism. The most minimal amount of government possible. Only legislation, judicial, executive, and defense (police and military). Everything privatised. In a truely capitalist system, companies would fight for lower prices and better products so they can buy you as a cutomer. That would be beautiful. Think.

And by the way, i've read Ayn Rand before. You should read Bakunin, Kropotkin, Proudhon, Chomsky, Landauer, Stirner, Debord, Vaneigem, and, yes, maybe even Marx.

There's an alternative. Take a look at Cuba. The frontman of a punk group by the name of Gorki Aguila was arrested. He was fined $28 for speaking out against the government. Every single person in Cuba makes an average of $19.50 a month. If that's the alternative you want, have at it.

Very elegantly put. I will follow your advice and tomorrow become an investment banker, enriching myself from other people's labour. And when i pass some homeless guy starving in the street, i'll have a fucking good laugh. |
