It's interresting how al gore's data is different than the scientists' data. Someone is bending the truth. I beleive its the 7 climatologists who are bending it, because all of the other climatologists (more than 7) beleive global warming is real.

I think i'll side with the scientist who have dedicated most of their life to studying these issues. as apposed to an ex vice president who has no idea what he's talking about, and is only driven by profits. Global warming is a business, and Gore is cashing in on it big time.

"Hansen I've known for many years. He's a very good climate scientist, but he's decided to do the politics. I feel that he's doing some cherry-picking of his own. At that point, he's not really being a scientist. At that point, you're being a lawyer. He's being an effective advocate for his side, but in the process of doing that he's no longer a neutral party and he's no longer giving both sides of the issues." -Prof. Richard A. Muller UC Berkeley global warming believer Grist interview 10/6/08

There's a fair chance we'll find out for certain in the next few years, after the ~6Yr lag. Dave

Ooops CGR. Dave.

The correlation between TSI and global temperature is fair, but between sunspots and temperature poor. In either case, both TSI and sunspots have flattened or declined in the past 40 years, and post-1970s warming is attributed in the literature almost entirely to anthropogenic emissions, with little dispute. For discussion, graphs, and multiple references, you can Google "solar variation", but it would be incorrect to believe the predominance of CO2-driven warming to be controversial.
DrDave953 (October 11, 2008 at 7:44 pm)
Anyone citing the work done regarding Solar wind CGA. That is still hypothesis, same as the CO2 AGW hypothesis. Dave.
DrDave953 (October 11, 2008 at 7:35 pm)
No-one knows the mechanism but the correlation is NOT between TSI climate, but solar activity climate. ie Sunspots. As far as can be ascertained, changes in TSI are insufficient to cause climate change in history that correlate to Sunspots. Dave.
