I think blackwater and similar contractors are the best thing to happen to the military profession in a long time. The entire reason I joined the Army was to start building a resume so I can hired by people like them. Finally there's an alternative to direct government employment for people who want to be soldiers, which is great because from my short experience in the Army (a bit over 4 months in and finished IET) so far new Privates are treated like shit and you lose a lot of freedom.
