The title of the article is "Why the World Doesn't Need Us" The "us" is the technologists and scientists that move headstrong to develop new technologies without considering the consequences to the rest of humanity.

His article from wired why the world doesn't need humans is a must read for all the people of the world.
Like Huxley said the future serfs will come to love their masters and defend them. Which is why he later stated Brave New World was more of a prediction as to what he thought the world would become.
