gt250r is a great bike, using it as a daily commuter (60 miles a day) and for weekend fun. Had it a few months now, No problems at all, recommend it to anyone considering getting one.

I can't comment on the salt on the roads, but the atmosphere in the U.K. has salt (being an island nation), bike parts tend to corrode a bit faster under those conditions.

i think i'll go for the korean. the kawasaki sounds like shit. the older zxr 250 grey version sounded much much better with 4 cyclinders. this 250 R sucks.

I live in the UK/london. its pretty much cold and windy through out the year but a few months in summer are great for riding.i have never seen anyone put salt on the road. Not freezing conditions here. I think import cars (e.g from japan) or bikes in this case tend to rust quicker because its constantly either weathered through raining/wind. not the best for riding or maintaining a bike but the uopside is the roads here are clean with great turns.
