They were way ahead of their time. Yet another example of a hugely talented band who never achieved the recognition they truly deserved. Saw them at a gig inLoughborough around 1980 and they were awesome.

saw em live at Essex university back in 80/81, one of the best gigs I ever went to....Many thanks for this. As for the balding problem, I just shave it all off....

Gof4 are guvnors.electric ballroom with the sublime Mekons 30 years back.Then few years ago at shep bush empire where Andy Gill was using some kind of fender tweed valve amp..and his sound lacked attack..in old days i swear he had an HH tranny amp and his sound was proper fucking brutal.call me a cunt but too much distortion/tube compression can make your effort lack conviction?coz Andy is a producer and everything i rekon the sound engineer was tooo pussy to have a row! maybe i is a CUNT!!!

broadly122 I have been looking up all the stuff I used to love back in the day, Magazine, Joy Division, Leisure Process and now this! Saw Gang of Four live once at UCL, to use Comic Book Guy voice, Best. Gig. Ever. I'm female and don't have the baldness problem, but ageing, yes. But this really took me back. 23 Skidoo next! Isn't YouTube the best?
