i don´t get the point...
it would be really great if the robot has an AI that finds out all by itself finding and attaching other parts...
but i can´t see any sensors like cams or sth. like that and so i think it´s just aout programmed servo-motors..
and that isn´t sth. special ... each industrial robot can do better!!!

It was able to atach to another block and then break it self into two and give the other block to the seecond robot

these are not self repairing or are they robots, they require bases of which they are tethered to, they simply are motion devices carrying out programmed commands. this is 1960's technology

I hate to say it, but this might nto prove anything, all it could be is some fancy programming, with predetermined settings, but at least their on the right track

Behold, the power of the human mind!

Yeah, and where's the self repairing? I didn't see anyone break one of the parts and the machine repairing it or even lose the broken part.
timmdogg35 (August 17, 2008 at 8:23 pm)
dude, integrate this freaking AI with the freaking asimo and what do you have? A robot that knows how to repair itself!. Plus asimo human-like design, this crap will make the terminator scenario even worse!! But lol, cool bot. |
