Hey DiscoAL,
I agree with you lets comment on just the music not on something that is irrelevant!

One of the best bands ever. And whose group members had REAL talent! Not like this crap they play today. All untalented and have no pure writing or composing ability. ALl these fools want today is your money by producing empty vacuous lyrics and performing overhyped concerts at high prices. What happened to R&B! I love you Chic!! Respect!

IMHO one of the greatest rhytm sections ever...too bad we can´t hear them together again. Chic experienced the opposite situation than the Beatles, who still have their rhytm section alive and well.

Correction, that's Voices Of Shalom.

Both Alfa Anderson (lead vocalist on this song) and Luci Martin are alive and well as far as I know. Though they have mostly stayed out of the spotlight over the last couple decades. Alfa went on to become a public school teacher and principle. She and her husband made an inspirational/gospel CD a few years ago as Voices Of Sholom. Luci still performs on occasion with Norma Jean Wright (CHIC's first lead vocalist).

Tony Thompson and Bernard Edwards...what a rythym section.

the euro-disco/philly r&B sound of the late 1970s beat out both motown and southern califonia rock.

where are these 2 chic women now? are they alive? i saw a video for this song early summer 1979 don't know if this is the same video though.
black female music was good late 1970s-early 1980s but then janet jackson took over.all music sucks now whoever makes it.

i remember being in a bathhouse in DC and this song was playing, and a big black buck was riding me like a merry-go-round, then he said he loved me, and i told him the ride was over.
