Here are my thought and opinions in regards to purchasing and using AppleCare with Apple branded laptops. Also you'll get to see the repair estimates for the two times I had to send in my MacBook to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store for repair (both repairs were covered by the standard 1 year limited warranty).

Porn on DVD - so late 90s ;). Bittorrent, FTW.

i wonder how many people have been watching a pornographic DVD on their macbook when its got stuck in the drive... i bet that'd be a laugh for the apple technicians.

The matte screen is not only an option on the MacBook Pro. Personally I prefer the matte screen over the glossy screen - my iBook G4 went for 3 years without any problems with the display. My MacBook's glossy display had to go to Apple twice because the glossy coating kept flaking off. If I ever get a MacBook Pro, I'm getting the matte version, but maybe I'm just bad with displays. Hope that helps. Peace.

Keep in mind that these may be problems that apple will fix in production. Customer service is pretty good with apple.
