presented at the Library of Congress, June 23rd 2008. This was tons of fun to present. I decided to forgo the PowerPoint and instead worked with students to prepare over 40 minutes of video for the 55 minute presentation. Amazing, uplifting, educational. Regarding the reference at about 51:28 to bnessel1973: I've never heard of him before. I lost my son Lucas to SIDS in September of 2007. Hearing him speak brought fresh tears to my eyes tonight. I don't vlog. I do blog. But it doesn't matter and perhaps the reference is the same. This was just one powerful moment among many. Thank you for both this video and the "Machine is Us/ing Us".

What an amazing presentation. It makes me want to go out and create my first You Tube video.

Check out the Weezer music video for Pork and Beans. Remix of popular YouTube videos using the "artists" lipsyncing. An good example of what mwesch is talking about.

I just watched this video in my Informatics class earlier today. I really didn't think I would be watching a anthropology video on You Tube at IUSB, but I thought this was the most interesting anthropological video I have ever seen. It's informative, funny, and entertaining. between the video clips and the interesting numerical figures, it really makes me rethink You Tube, and the entire internet in a different way!
