With all this interest in Duffy at the moment its forced me to dig out some of my Bernard Butler videos . Duffy related as ex Suede guitarist Bernard Butler is her song writer and producer as well as being a fantastic guitarist . His songs always managed to bring out the best in Mc Almonts voice in thier partnership and they do the same for Duffy . Im also a great lover of Phil Spector and Roy Wood style of "wall of Sound" productions and Bernard Butler seems to be able to always pull it off and remind me of that stuff.

love that sound....very similar production sound to the Manics Everything Must Go album, check out the song 'Girl who wanted to be God' and also Texas's album White on Blonde had the strings feel round to it as well!!

I agree. It's really that build up and tranistion that takes this song to a new level.

went on a cross country trip from New York to California in 1995 with a couple of budddies...it may seem weird that three young men would smoke a joint, light a cig, and put on this song to cruise with but it's a great tune...blasting this song lost in a Wyoming field, not a care in the world...I'll never forget that moment Plus a great bounce back song from a tough break up...

A classic and totally out of the blue for that period of time for music, especially from the ex suede guitarist hehe
