Well, small errors or "appointments" to the genius bar are always free. BUT if the repair requires more than 15 min of time or major "surgery" That's when they look to see if the machine is covered.

I'm going to be traveling with my Macbook Pro everyday so I bought the Apple Care Protection Plan. It was $239.
I noticed that you have some kind of red Protection Plan box. I ordered online but never received such a thing. Is that box with the order or can you simply get one at the store? I'm lost.

My macbook is still under the one year warranty. The warranty will be expired at April, 2009. I think i would get Apple Protection Plan later this year.

Before i actually get an Mac, i installed Mac in my PC for half year. After half year, finally i decided to get an Macbook. It takes time to get familiar with Mac OS X.

I think it might actually be better to buy a mac laptop at Best Buy. They have an "accidental spill" warranty that you can purchase and I think that it would be more beneficial to the paranoid consumer. They might actually get your machine back to you in a more timely manner than apple will.
