That brings back memories... too bad I have to wear glasses again and it's only been 5 years :(. But still, I wouldn't take it back for anything; LASIK did wonders for my eyes - I'd be wearing Coke bottles now if it weren't for it.

I loved that machine...LOL. Not really, but the pressure that gizzy creates is something nobody has a clue of, unless they'd been through it. I didn't have that machine either...I had one that used a microkeretone blade. It shaved my cornea for the flap. This person dkantis is on a rant here. I mean I have a little dry eye, but I live in the desert...who doesn't here. I have been nothing but pleased with my results.

I had it done in 2004 and it was the best 10 min of my life. I ditched my specs after 20 yrs. I had halos for about 6 months, but they went away. I really don't regret my choice at all. I had one hell of a surgeon working on me. He did use the blade on my cornea rather than the laser that they use today. It's a rush when the flap is cut. NO YOU ARE NOT ASLEEP FOR IT. You just look at an orange dot and that's it. I only had to take 2 Tyelonol for discomfort.

That's right. All of these people that just had LASIK and are a week or a year out, just wait until the 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10th year...every year your eyes feel like they're dying and drying out and they are. I'm sorry to be the "bearer of bad news," but get PISSED OFF at your LASIK doctor and staff for having lied to you about the long term damages, and having ruined your perfectly healthy eyes, all for money and greed!! Doubt this? check out: lasiknewswire (website). Youtube: LASIK FDA.

I had Lasik in 2002. Absolutely no complications. No dry eyes. Is one of the best things that have happened to me.
