The main reason inspiring google's move into the "Xprize" project is assumed to be privitizeing the space industry. There's fuel for fusion technology on the surface of the moon in trace amounts, but the pay off would be INCREDIBLE! We, the people, must have some level of control over space!

i just wanted to say one more thing. google you should research nikola teslas energy ideas, such as his magnifying transmitter, it could help out the whole world with a wireless energy system using the world as a conducting body! he did it 100 yrs ago but it was not funded properly :(.
