These girls are VERY different from Bond! Saying they're the same is like saying that John Lennon and Jimmy Hendrix had the same act: both young guys who played electric guitars in a band, right?
LISTEN TO THE MUSIC, and you will see that eScala and Bond are both great groups, but quite different.

Okay, I said it before, I'll say it again. My comment was based on MY perception that this group was trying to pass their style as UNIQUE. My comment was only intended to say this is NOT trailblazing as others have done it befor. Again, I say these ladies ARE talented and I wish them much success. My comments DO NOT represent a provincial narrowmindedness. If you cant accept my PERSONAL PREFERENCE, kiss my ass. AND, Luciano Pavarotti is WAYYY BETTER.

OMG - wow another group playing the same type of music. Sorry u must listen to one singer per type of music only! Sorry Paul Potts, you cannot sing, your doing the same thing as Pavarotti - so we can't have you make a record.
Just because it's similar does not make it the same. I have listened to Bond, I can hear the obvious differences in the way both groups play. They do also play different music. It's string music, but not the same.
Your comments are very closed minded.

Oh, I agree with you. But I guess I am a stickler for giving credit where credit is due. Seems to me, they were attempting to say "Look what we've invented." Perhaps it is just me.

I see your point, ¬_¬
But like you say; "Damn near" Not exact. And that coupled along with a different look and style, makes your point...fail. Sorry.
Just because "BOND" were the only people to have done stuff like this before, does not mean that they are the only people to be allowed to do it, and anyone else who does it fails, because if you think like that, how the hell did music even become popular?
patman1485 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
What I am saying is that the group "BOND" does this same thing and has been doing so for several years. I am afraid that "ESCALA" is doing nothing new and, dare I say, damn near the same act. Look up "BOND" for yourself and you'll see

They played violins for hundreds of years. What makes it unique is the way in which they perform it, making their own music, appearance and presentation.

the semi final perfomance is always the best. Paul Potts aswell. |
