This is very well directed. Do you notice how none of the employees there give him the time of day? Nobody respects him. Because, in this movie anyway (NOT in real life mind you), the point is that he is nothing more than a pawn, a slave to his manager. You see that played out in the last scene where Jackie Gleason (GREAT actor!!!! Amazing Job in this Movie!!!!) says, "You better pay him Eddie." He know's it too! Everyone in there knows that he's a tool. What a great message. Well done!
