If there is going to be a remake, I pray that they (20th) doesn't totally fuck up the legendary lore of DUNE. I pray they don't fuck it up with more of the same tin foil wrapped, loud mouthed, 1990's bullshit like they seem to do with every other remake. Indiana Jones was a prime example. Fucking Burger-King-franchise-cut-and-paste piece of shit. Anyone call the police on Lucas and Berg for the raping of Harrison Ford?

Incredible story. Bits and pieces of the movie were amazing. But the movie as a whole didn't quite gel.
I dunno, I still like it.

Good question. I do not know but if you do a search you might find 2010.

Yeah, big time.
Really? That's great.

Yes, it was a better movie than the mini-series. I have heard paramount pictures have purchased the rights to make the first three books into movies. Similar to the Lord of the Rings, I believe they will be made all at the same time.

Agreed.

The newer adaptation of Dune felt cold and empty to me. The original Dune, whatever you want to say about it, looks and sounds brilliantly baroque, whilst the series was just ugly chrome and CGI spacecraft.
