nobody said that you couldn't but the games are more about just the combo themselves rather than the actual fighting. Pressure is a great thing, but a combo is just that a combo and normally can't stopped, pressure is not allowing your opponent a chance to defend themselves or mixing up your techniques, but a fair fair dair is just godly in this game

So I can't attempt to 0 - death you? xD After all, when everyone can pressure good enough in this game (and react quick enough), then we'll start seeing some nasty "combos."

i am happy to see someone realizes that the differences between the two, people relied so much on combos and techs that when brawl came out they couldn't grasp the new style of winning. It is more mindgames and set ups than just plain "who can hit first and 0 to death"

lol You're right. I own a copy of Brawl right now and I had played it for about a month's time. Since it's a new game you have to get used to it. But as for melee, I gotta admit I give it props. It was a great game, very fast, open for alot of combos. Brawl, on the other hand, is now focused on alot of mindgames and tricks in order to win against your opponent. Either way people need to learn to deal with what we have so far.

Quit complaining about so fucking much, it's a good game. So they took out a lot of the advanced techs that we all love Melee for, it's Super Smash Bros. BRAWL; not Super Smash Bros. Let's Make a Clone Game, Except With More Characters. Brawl does take skill, lots of it.

Agreed. Melee was perfect. it took more skill and concentration and an experianced player could actually beat a newcomer not the other way around. It seems to me that on brawl half the people that play are just pushing buttons and getting kills. ive noticed a talent drop.

ur good at knocking them off the edge but ur no where near the combos my buddy Sam Hammed does...and anyways with roy u only need to land a few hits and they go flying... roy ftw
