The amazing Archuleta! Love him, love him! Please remember to request Crush on radio, tell your friends about it on iTunes. And mostly importantly, buy his physical CD in November. CD sales have dropped alot in the last few years, and we need to support David in the beginning of his awesome career. Thanks.

I disagree that Cook was better. I think this performance put a target on David A and made it seem the show was over. At some point, I think the producers decided that David Cook was the type of Idol they wanted and in very subtle ways, the outcome is impacted by how the producers put the performers out there, the judges reaction, etc. I also think extreme power voting (21,000 computer votes per fan) helped. No matter, David A is doing great! He doesn't need Idol anymore. Love him.

I dont understand why people are saying archuleta was too young to win or he wasnt ready...How old was Jordin Sparks when she won? Oh yeah...16? 17? David Archuletas voice is more pure than anyones ive ever heard

I don't think it had anything to do with Cook being better. Both are about equal in greatness. But David Cook is older and more closely fit the image of an 'American Idol'. On a personal level I was crushed that Archuleta didn't win.
