Brand Nubian never sold as many albums as the many West Coast rappers burning up the charts in the early '90s, but the New York group commanded great respect in East Coast rap circles. In black neighborhoods of New York and Philadelphia, Nubian's debut album, One for All, was actually a bigger seller than many of the platinum gangsta rap releases outselling it on a national level. Influenced by De La Soul and the Jungle Brothers, Nubian favored an abstract rapping style, and Eastern rap fans were drawn to the complexity of jams like "Dance to My Ministry," "Ragtime," and "All for One." Grand Puba, Lord Jamar, and Sadat X had a lot of technique, which was what hip-hoppers favored in the East. On the whole, Nubian's Nation of Islam rhetoric isn't as overbearing as some of the recordings that other Five Percenters were delivering at the time. The CD is a bit uneven, but on the whole is likable and exhilarating. allmusic.com

Select records also did this with two Chubb Rock albums as well. And The Winner Is... I Gotta Get Mine Yo! both had between 18 t0 21 tracks on them.

You hit the nail right on the head on that one. Brand Nubian also knew how to have fun in their raps as well teach a message. Elektra threw "feels So Good" "Brand Nubian" on there to complete the CD.

This is still to this day one of my all time favorite hip hop groups. That All for One album is a definite classic.

This was only on the cd version, I think. I didn;t like it at all. But whatever, they were on Elecktra so they needed a couple of radio joints. This and 'try to do me' were obviously label creations. Still one of the top 15 HipHop albums of all time.

What's ill about this video is the era. It was all about a good time. Grand Puba was about the skins as he would later let everyone know. Check Masters of Ceremony...The girls dancing made this a must see video also. It was still an era of hip hop that was about the females and how good they did look before the Gangsta/Gangsta bitch era. As for the song itself... GODS had graceful flow period. I was wilder about the B-side "Brand Nubian" I copped the cassette just for that song. FAR FROM CORNY!
