By my interpretation the third view is "Deux ex Machina" in the view of God in the grand design and how the rabbit is a "messiah" of sorts in the aspect that he foresaw events that were going to happen. In which according to the Bible there have been instances where Jesus foresaw his own death. Thats all I can conclude feel free to comment.

oooo so its as if donnie is the rabbit and if he doesn't die the entire human race will die. but wait, the rabbits run from their fate, and one human had to die for the entire human race, not one rabbit died for the rest of the rabbit species to go on :(.
