A truly mystical machine. Your lucky to have seen it take-off and land. I've only seen it fly-by. Well it was a super sonic fly-by, so that's cool. I have been amazed at the level of tech in this aircraft/spacecraft since I began learning about it when I was 8yrs.

The Blackbird can do just over 2 miles a second at top speed, that just proves how amazing this plane is.

they should of made a passenger carry version of this plane. IT could be done

the bloody commentator needs to be taken round the back given a double-tap. Yes I know it is a low pass, yes I can see the chute is reducing the landing run ... u nobber!!!! He probably has a degree in Talking the Bloody Obvious!

You might also have confused the top speed with that of the D-21, a derivative of the SR-71 program. It was a ramjet-powered pilotless drone which was launched from the SR-71 and probably flew well in excess of Mach 4.

None of the information I got came from your government. Much of it came from British and European sources so they will have had little influence on it, especially when it related to pure physics. What your government lies about (plenty) actually isn't a factor in what I'm saying. The majority of what I'm talking about is basic aeronautical science which I got from sources over which your government has no control.

According to official info you are absolutely correct, however I believe the pilot and what he said(in private with a close friend), who was stationed at Beale, and flew the plane and had the security clearances, and there's a lot more to it than MACH 5. I'm not trying to change your opinion either, I'm simply stating mine, however on the record you are correct. I grew up the son of a D.O.D. Master Instructor, I saw first hand how our gov. works.. and lies about everything, just my opinion..
