Thanks! and I'm glad it was able to help you with your project! :D (GREAT project topic by the way :P ) When I was in year 4 I had to do a project on a certain time period in austrain history... i chose the 20s - 40s just so i could talk about Pharlap :P I've got a book about him to, has records of all his races and EVERYTHING! You might find it handy. It's called Phar Lap and its by Geoff Armstrong and Peter Thompson. cost me $35 about 6 years ago, should be cheaper now :P

Actually I just recived a Horse Illustrated magazine last week and they said in there that it has been scientificly proven that Phar Lap died from lead arsenic poisoning.

yeh back in those days they gave horses amounts of arsenic to help them keep their apetites up... they didn't know what the affects would have. the intense build up eventually poisoned pharlap

No he wouldn't still be alive if he had of stayed in New Zealand! How old are you? Phar Lap lived in the 30's I do agree that he was a great horse though, but you need to maybe do a little more research.
