i said that MACS... CAN USE... the BR STANDARD... (blue-ray standards, the same standards written, developed and proposed by sony... you know what i'm talking about? blue-ray "standards points" for create a BR optical drive...)... SINCE 2006... because there are a lot of external optical drives...
BR STANDARD means Blue-Ray
XenonXMedia (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
since when has it been standard BR on apple computers since 2006?!
applerulez67 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Actually Macs can use the BR standard since 2006 with a BR external reader. Nowadays, BR is 100% useless, and as you'll need it, you're gonna change the internal optical drive.
Btw every iMac ships with the adapter, so you're FULL OF SHIT JUST LIKE C|NET.
What about the Windows GUI in kernel space? THAT'S LAME.

datz a good point but u need apple tv to connect it to ur tv for hd viewing
XenonXMedia (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
but why do we need blu-ray when we get itunes movies and tv in hd
kareemb0 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Blue Ray would make the iMac much more future proof. 24" iMac has a full HD res screen so watching HD movies (BR) would be a nice feature.
And the mini-DVI is so far only found on Apple computers, which is pretty lame, cause you'd have to find a cable just to hook up your own extra monitor.
No C|Net doesn't suck, fanboy.
applerulez67 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Who needs BR now? Don't you know that the "lame video output" is DVI?
Roses are red
Violets are blue
C|Net sucks
And Microsoft too
