Sony does suck... at making audio equipment anyways. But Denon is a very good brand. Denon and Onkyo are equally good brands IMO. I think your money goes a little further with Onkyo, but Denon still builds quality equipment. I'm about to buy an Onkyo TX - SR606 btw...

a) What is the difference between onkyo tx-sr 805 sold in US and in other countries?
b) Is there any difference in the very first place?
c) Since i will be buying this model soon in Amazon, can i use this model in other countries? and why i need a transformer if there is no difference in the model sold in US and other countries?

I bought this for 250 new....because i work in cirucitcity.......I love this......when i bought it was reg prince was $1010....sony denon sucks.........onkyo is the best....i tell all my coutomer that....

Well, Onkyo is the main selling line with top of the line Onkyo products even though Integra is under the Onkyo umbrella corporation. I have a new system along with my old faithful and it's no joke. I'm hardcore Onkyo and all my equipment will have that name up front. I say, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Peace.

I have nothing against onkyo, they do good stuff, but now its actually the lower end line from the company. If you want some serious equipment look up Integra lineup by the same company. :-)

I bought an Onkyo in 1991 and it still plays flawlessly. Onkyo is the best in my book.
