conditions in the sweatshops could at least improve

If the sweatshops close down the people would be left with worse alternative. Conditions must improve. And our voices is what can make it happen.

what exactly are sweatshops?

Should you question your imperialist center "first world" corporate-bitch countries?

Ya know, I don't fully agree w/sweatshops the horrible abuse of the children. But the main point is a job is a job in countries like these. Jobs every where in the friggin world could be better. But these people don't have the laws to sue, don't have the money to quit nor the technology to get a better one. These children have to work because they're so dirt poor. It sucks, but what, should we let them starve? Should we let them sell their bodies? Should they beg on the streets?

How can you just blame white people? It's not just one person it's the millions of people who buy from these companies every year...not one MILLIONS. Plus, some people don't even know the harm that their doing. If we could educate people on the subject maybe we can start to change and work with each other instead of blaming each other. If you think it's just one person or one group that's just IGNORANT! Open your mind and stop looking down a one way street!

i totally agree, its unfortunate and it is a problem. yes sweatshops are awful places but often the alternatives are much worse

WOW those kids deserve the kind of life we have in 1st world countries. anyone who doesn't have problem with this is a dick. i think its pretty unfair comparing our lives with theirs. working 24/7 in terrible working conditions everyday for 10 dollars a month, OR sitting on a couch watching TV, using the computer, listening to your ipod and talking to friends on cellphones! WTF
