Yah, so, gotta be honest I'm not hearing the "plagerism" between this song and Coldplay's "Fix You." Admittedly, the songs are kinda alike, (EX: the point where everybody starts singing, and more generally the simplicity and style of the songs)but they are no more alike then, oh say, "Baby Got Back" and "The Bad Touch" and I don't see The Bloodhound Gang getting thrown under the bus. D:

Yes, this song is beautiful :3 In my opinion, I think the thing that makes "Fix You" sound a bit like this song is the organ (organ? is it an organ?) sound in the background. Even the video is a bit similar also (with the whole nighttime on the road thing). Then there's a very obvious peak to both songs. I may be the only one that thinks so though. Like I said earlier though, this is much better than Coldplay.

I also heard that Fix You was compeid from this song, but I honestly don't hear anything similar. Coldplay doesn't sound anything like this. But still, this is an exceptionally great song.

I missed the Big Brother thing (i.e. I don't watch it as I hate and detest "reality" shows) - how does that relate to Elbow?

The drummer is fantastic. I saw Elbow at the Troubadour in Los Angeles a few years ago and they were top notch.
