Kicks and punches obviously don't have any place in parenting, but the cognitive, psychological and emotional exercises and development that lead up to and are part of fighting can be useful pretty much anywhere. There's not much I'd want to pass on more to *my* kids than the determination, persistence, courage, versatility, agility or reflectiveness needed to fight. I watch fights to see these things and what can come of them, the violence is something I put up with, but don't really care for.

To compare fighting with raising a child is like having mustard on your pizza instead of tomatoes - it just doesn't add up.

The number five knockout really illustrates what an advantage height is in k-1. I mean in regular boxing the small guy can close the distance and go in under the bigger mans guard, but if you were to do that in k-1 the bigger guy would most probably get into a clinch, and finish you off with a knee. Like semmy did vs feitosa. and most k-1 fighters are around 200cm. ofc schilt is a giant, i think hes 214cm or sumthing.

Bones heal, blood stops flowing and noses right themselves. Brain damage is rare, and brain diseases impossible to get from fighting. And you really don't see the value of it? Did you notice my comparison to other activities in life? Didn't see you address that...Fact is, I think you're a coward. Fighting is about risk...and so is any achievement in life. If you can't take anything from it, then that's sad. You won't get very far.

Well, I don't speak english, so you can guard expressions like "STFU" 'cause I can't understand what you mean. And you shouldn't compare necessary life fightings to an innecessary one, like this practise. Indeed, they don't fight to the death, but to broken bones, damaged brains, mental diseases, crashed noses, bleeding mouth...how instructive!

Uh...yeah. Do I have to point it out? Do I really? I guess I do, cause if you wrote this, that means it's probably never gonna occur to you. *Gladiators fought to the death*. That's one BIG difference, cause morbid curiosity (the driving factor behind gladiator match attendance) is MISSING. Two, struggle and how you deal with it is something that all of us can learn from. It's inspiring. Building a successful business, raising a kid, solving a problem are ALL "fighting". So STFU, pls.

Gladiators were also considerated as sportmen, and so what? There were also some rules, determination, ability to take damage...but finally we saw that it was an abomination, as I do.
