As in you can hear lots of bass. Lots of bass doesn't equal good quality in my mind. Maybe for big explosions in movies its good but for music they aren't too good imo.

The soundcard isn't the problem...
These speakers aren't THAT good. Lots of bass, but not that good quality bass.

got this and a creative pci xfi soundblaster in vista 64, it aint that good.. the base isnt that clear, its nice but not "WHOHO!!" in any way.
