The song is about a girl that was in david byrne's high school that did drugs. The song is about a high girl. He said it was outside the yoohoo dream factory when he thought of the song. He said so on his solo tour in the Austin limits concert

Great tune! One of my earliest childhood memories of MTV, actually. Apparently this song is about a girl David knew in his hometown of Baltimore who used to trip on LSD.
