Really quite irresponsible lyrics! Driving at 125mph when you've been drinking is absolutely anti social! If you'd ever treated the victims of road traffic accidents you'd want to slap Mungo Jerry. I suppose we weren't so aware back then. He sings 'lifes for living'! Yes it is! and driving at anti social and reckless speeds whilst inebriated is a good way to kill yourself and other innocent people!

This song was used in Britain in a truly horrific public awareness film about the dangers of driving under the influence. As a result I struggle to hear this great song without bringing to mind blood drenched youngsters hurtling through windscreens. Damn the British public information broadcasters!! I used to assosciate this with cider and comely country wenches!!
