In fact you can. The simple ones run on top of Wine (or the DOS ones on DOSBox, like the first DOOM), the more complicated ones you run on Windows on a Mac. Simple dual booting.

"Copied the idea of a computer"?!? You cant copy the idea of a computer. Its like if I started a spoon-making company then someone like you comes along and says "That spoon-making company copied the idea of a spoon". And without the PC there WOULD be a Mac, or something similar, because the Mac project was started in 1979, BEFORE the IBM PC came out, and the original Mac had NOTHING to do with the IBM PC.

I actually like Macs for programming. Xcode makes it easy. I dont use it all the time, but I cant deny I like Xcode.

Mac always behind? If you mean it by user base, mabye, but technologically hell no.

So that you recognise a mac straight away. One look at one, you see the big apple and the aluminium, you know its a mac.

So what if they cant upgrade? U dont need to upgrade a Mac. A G4 can run Leopard, you dont need under 12-month old hardware to run OS X (unlike Visduh). I even have OS X on a G3 iMac, the first version.

LordDestros, macs are not PC's. The software and vast majority of hardware is all proprietary, non-customizable and limited to what apply allows therefore not a PERSONAL computer. |
