orangutan is from my country Indonesia. from 2 islands: Sumatra and Kalimantan.. they are the only great apes in Asia.. and yes now they are endangered... so sad...

Orangutan habitats are being destroyed to make way for palm oil plantations. Palm oil is a common ingredient in many supermarket foods. At the current rate of destruction the orangutan will be extinct in 20 years. Please google orangutan palm oil to learn more. Write to your ministers. Write to food manufacturers. Thank you.

poor monkey!! he is a wild living thing!? How can you pull him in a jacket?? don't you know he feels sad!? poor monkey... I love monkeys... I love orang utan and I want to save them!? but they are wild living things so.. there are a lot of organisations who rescue monkeys (WSPA) ... don't treat them like humans!!they are animals ... they are cute... and wild!!! they want to be free!!!

Oh my gosh, you got a baby monkey. When I was younger when about five I begged and begged and begged my parents to let me hav a moneky (like I believed they would at xmas) but nevr had tantrums about it. of course I still love monkeys and I would not want to have one now, only to know they are safe in the wild. It's good u love your one and that it is alive and not in danger elswer

Oh, I love these beautiful mammals. How can any hunter think of harming one? Or even cage them? All Primates are special and I adore them, I have loads of mokey cuddly toys, and one huge one that is an orang-utan and when I was little when I first bought it it was bigger than me, and I would pretend it was my dad cuddling me when I'd go to bed.
