Its a good Mac. I have one, but it isn't meant for anything complex. I made a couple of videos with it, but it takes a little time. Not very much, but it is slower at adding effects than say...an iMac or Macbook even. I had to upgrade to the MacBook Pro because I need the graphics power for college this fall. 3D animation isn't going to work on a mini. lol

Mac mini is quite a robust little computer, as Steve says. I don't think it would take long to render out a movie on Mac mini, but you'd probably want an iMac. But if you can't afford iMac, Mac mini is fine.

Its not about the graphics. Its about the speed. Would take a long while with the little Mac Mini to make a whole movie dont you think? All the rendering and stuff. I have no clue how it works but making a good movie takes a lot of CPU power.

Fair enough.
MacOSXrulez (June 4, 2008 at 7:55 pm)
Yeah but most of them still use a Pro so w/e.

I am talking about Final Cut Pro. I have Express on my Mini and it runs good but Pro won't run.
OneTapiwaman (June 4, 2008 at 6:57 am)
Oh, not true. Mac mini can run Final Cut Express pretty smoothy. If you want better graphics, of course, iMac and MacBook Pro (and the Mac Pro) are more appropriate.

yeap thats true but I didnt even talked about movie makers befor... I said Photoshop, designers and Newspaper editors etc. Movie making is a whole different world. And of coure it would need a Pro Mac.
