Both trebuchets and torsion engines are classified under the generic term "catapult," which includes any non-handheld mechanical device designed to hurl an object without the aid of an explosive substance.

Trebuchets were far more accurate than other medieval catapults.
some more wikipedia for you gsho2915 you should look yourself before callind pple idiots

Designs include the torsion-powered mangonel, onager and ballista, and the gravity-powered trebuchet.
this is what it says about a catault on wikipedia. they are the same thing just use a differenttype of energy! is a car that is powered by electricity and not gas still a car?

Sorry hamburger,
A trebuchet is not a catapult. The only thing they have in common is that they are war machines from the middle ages and they both "throw" their payloads. Gsho has a good suggestion :)

A trebuchet is alot bigger and shoots alot more distance and its not like a bucket you get a stone in its kinda 60 % different
