I wish I grew up during that generation. The music lyrics are so beautiful, pure, and sweet.

Thank you for leaving your comment. I certainly remember the movie from which this song came. Now, YouTube has informed me that I must remove this song due to copyright claim by the "owner". Unfortunately it won't be here much longer.

This was the first record I ever bought when I was 16 back in the 50's and I still love it as much today as I ever did. Pat Boone was my hearthrob and I did see him when he appeared at the London Palladium in the early 60's, oh he was so good looking

This song is so tender and sweet and reminds me of happy times gone by. I'm so glad to have found it. It's lovely.

Little Richard would certainly argue for his, since he was first and had the biggest hit. Pat and Elvis would graciously says Little Richard's was the best---I'm quite sure.

I used to have this beautiful song on a Pat Boone cassette which unfortunately was eaten by my cassette player some years ago. Certain songs bring a tear to my eye and this has always been one of them. I still have (amongst others)an old 78 of Pat singing 'Tuiti Fruiti' flip side 'I'll be home.' Was never quite sure whose version of Tuiti Fruiti I preferred, Pat, Elvis or Little Richard. Anyway, many thanks for the posting. Kindest regards from the U.K.

When I was a little girl..this song was played on the radio..and I didnt want to go to school..because I would miss my mother. Now my mother is in heaven and I am a grandmother...and this song..still makes me miss my mother.

This is such a pretty song. Lovely lyrics.

Thanks for your comment. I'm not a big Pat Boone fan either except for a few of his songs that really stand out, this being my favorite. If I could find it, I would also post Pat's When The Swallows Come Back To Capistrano. Above I was asking the question why this song is so important to the admirers of the "Church of Blow" on YouTube. I still haven't watched the episode. Something holds me back.
