His last name was "Little", but that doesn't really matter. You should read his autobiography. He died with the name El-hajj Malik El-Shabazz, He received this name after his trip to Mecca. It is also worth noting in 1964 a year before his death he left the religion of Muslim to start his own religion.

Yes it is a muslim name, even though Obama is clearily not a muslim or an Arab and has never been,but his father Barack Hussein Obama Sr. was a Muslim not an arab. But that is not important that is beside the point I was tryin to say America is changing is getting better because given the history of our nation and the fact that it could elect a black man with an "unusual" name is absolutely inspirational refreshing.
