Ian Matthews deserves wider recognition. Can't help but wonder what Fairport Convention would have evolved into had they not made such a radical change and Matthews would have stayed on. They certainly were a wonderful ensemble as a both a rock group in and as an English folk group. Nevertheless, their sound with Matthews as lead vocalist was fantastic. Thanks for the vid!
