Exactly, and in the US we have a government system that actually encourages laziness, and the breakdown of marriages, because of these anti-poverty programs that have in most cases only worsened problems.

In theory his idea is good in reality it's coorperate/government hand outs gone awry. Little billy decides to sit at home all day and sleep do drugs and not work because the government provide him with basic nececitys it is the drive of any living species work for reward with the rewards allready there theres no reason to do anything but waste fresh air.

I agree- It's like saying "I think we should solve world hunger."
Great.
We've been working on this for some time now- can you give us a how?
Sorry buddy. Unless you genuinely can come up with an idea, not telling us to redistribute wealth like every stinking Communistic government has tried and failed miserably. Unfortunately, taking money from those who really earned it and giving it to those who didn't, and to those who wish to pad their already fat government checkbooks, is all to common.

I agree that many of the world's wealthy people work very hard for their money, but many have questionable motivations for wealth. Think about people who work like crazy to be able to buy a mercedes or a vacation home. Compare that to people who have to spend a whole day doing manual labor only to be able to barely feed themselves and their family. It seems most people seek wealth for personal profit while not enough of the world's elite have a consciousness for those who truly need money.

I agree... I think. I'm tired of seeing the government take away from people to redistribute wealth. Countries need to stay out of entangling alliances, and, while not being isolationist, be non-interventionist. I think Switzerland has been pretty good about this, and personal liberties, with almost every household owning a machine gun, and maintaining a pretty non-interventionist status, if I'm not mistaken.

i understand were you guys are comming from, its the Rawlsian, Nozick debate over societal welfare or individual liberty.
im not right, neither are those who oppose it, however i just think that the world would be better if we could destroy the IMF and the world and the washington consensus, which robs and destroys countries. Look at argintina before IMF and after, the reason why the world is so fucked up, is becasue of this institituion and its exploitation of developing countries. |
