yea the same thing happened 2 me...all i did ya look to the latest patch and download it and then the game should work for you...i was kinda confused because my comp is new and i have directx10 on it
so download the patch and it sould work

I just got this game for my PC and it said I needed DirectX 0.9 so I downloaded that And it STILL WON'T WORK DX

I remember when I got the Kane Edition for the first time, the game ran like absolute crap hehe. With the latest patch, my poor old computer can almost run it at full graphics, I was like, SWEET!!! But I toned it down to medium to increase framerate, and it still looks good :)
