Finally some skill on youtube. 5 stars. I'm just sick of seeing videos of 10 year olds play mediocre and getting praise as a virtuoso.

k, y doesnt he just play a piano?
mirrastyle4524 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
that makes sense but i also think my point is valid and i still dont believe that he is playing very fast. his playing is great and im sure he can play much faster but, still, i wouldn't consider it extremely fast. i wouldn't want it any faster anyway though.

Yes but "a lot" of anything must be relative. A million dollars to me is A LOT, but to Bill Gates, not so much. In music, the most logical way to define "a lot" of notes, is to make it relative to time. See if in one year I played 400 notes, that's not a lot, it is barely more than one per day. However, if I play 400 notes in one minute, that is a lot. The term "a lot" is a relative term, in music, time is the most logical thing to base it off of.

a lot refers to an amount, it has nothing to do with a period of time. and ok, lets say you play 88 notes in 5 seconds. you also play 88 notes in 10 seconds. its the same AMOUNT of notes, regardless of the time period. i said "a lot of notes" not "a lot of notes PER (unit of time)." You are wrong, and im positive everyone else will agree with me.

Wow...and I thought people were supposed to be smarter than 100 years back.Playing 88 notes in an hour would not construe, to most people, as a lot of notes. A lot means a high number in a short period of time, relative of course. So 88 notes an hour, not a lot, 88 notes a second, a lot. Learn to think why don't you
