Transatlanticism (the album and song) will go down in history as one of the greatest moments in music history. I would compare it to Abbey Road and Tommy for sure. People just need to give it a few years. By 2023 people will recognize it as one of the greatest musical achievements ever. I've owned this album for several years now and every time I put it on, it sounds just as good as it did the first time I heard it. That is what makes a good album. That is what makes an immortal album.

i just saw these guys last night in wallingford, CT. they played this song for the encore and it was quite possibly more epic than this one, but still beautiful nonetheless! |
