Buying food locally (not just meat, not just food alone) is more beneficial for the envrionment, not just for animals.
It means less overseas export and trade=less carbon emissions and energy usage, also means you can see how animals are treated, doing a little research into your food can go a long way.The fact is that by placing quantity over quality the human made factory farms have caused worse conditions for the earth with disease spread, pollution and so on

ordinary people seem to keep forgetting this simple lifesaver...
By balancing the needs of humans and the natural, your helping humankind. Factory farms are a hazard to health and safety, more so it is unecessary to cause suffering to animals and a waste of life, time and doesnt do anything beneficial.
If we want a better world, we must see the good in preserving nature, being compassionate and educating people about the ways helping the environmnet, which goes a long way...
