2600fps isn't the insane part. My .17hmr drives a little .17 grain projectile faster. The insane part is the recoil of that fuckin beast.

how big's the shot anyway? I'm guessing since it's ".577" slightly bigger than the .50?

the last guy on the clip is obviously pretty good at it; no flinch, he wasn't knocked off balance, and he was calm and collected after the shot. I cant imagine a heavier recoiling gun than 577 T-rex. Most shooters who attempt to shoot anything more powerful than a 30-06 will develop a flinch without proper instruction. Factor in that MOST hunters shoot less than a box of ammo per year, and it easy to see why so few people have the skills needed to handle this kind of gun.
