With the budget these cartoons were on ($50,000 in then-dollars, about $750,000 in now-dollars), they'd best have brought in the best of the best. These cartoons smoke everything and anything that came out after it.

Love the way these artists rendered these cartoons back in the day. This stomps CG. Note the detail in all of this. THAT!...is talent. lol.

"Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" influences the droids in "The Mechanical Monsters". Do the robots in "Sky Captain" look familiar? Watch the movie and then, watch this YouTube video and notice the similarities.

One of the most greatest things of this cartoon is big animation work it has. cartons don´t have that kind of work now. look a the darker and deeper shadows and the fluid animation the robots has.
